Front of House Event Staff

Front of House Event Staff

Front of House Event Staff will assist the House Manager, Event Lead, and Concessions Lead PART-TIME in developing and implementing food and beverage sales and services for the Broadway Center, as well as assist in the coordination of all event set-ups and tear-downs while delivering the highest level of customer service at all times.

Salary and benefits:

The position is part-time, 10-20 hours/week, DOE.

Responsibilities:

•  Work with Front of House and Stage Crew as a team to execute day of performance duties

•  Work with Volunteer Manager in managing volunteer staff

•  Accountable for concession area stocking, inventory, and cleanliness

•  Selling concessions for productions and up selling pre-sale items

•  Coordinate with presenters on any merchandise sales for an event

•  Process opening and closing paperwork specific to each event

•  Set-up and teardown event spaces

•  Changing of the marquees for Rialto and Pantages Theaters

•  Attend monthly meetings and all staff meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Have a current WA State Food Handler's Card and WA State Class 12 alcohol server
  • permit, OR be able to obtain them.
  • Be able to work weekends, evenings, and on an on-call basis.
  • Have excellent customer service skills.
  • Have at least one year of commercial food and beverage handling experience.
  • Have proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to handle extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling including lifting at least 20-50 lbs
  • Be comfortable with intermediate heights for marquee changes.
  • Have cash handling experience.
  • Be comfortable with intermediate heights for marquee changes.
  • Have computer literacy skills including knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Have reliable transportation.
  • Be organized and enjoy working with the public and as part of a team.
  • Have a professional attitude, be a team player, and work well with others.
