You said you loved him, so we're bringing him back! Called a “thoughtful and exceptionally musical player” (The New York Times), pianist Aviram Reichert returns for one of the most beloved piano works of all time, surrounded by the most romantic of all Russian music. The program opens with Harvey Felder's special suite of music from Tchaikovsky's masterful ballet. Scheherazade is the dramatic story of the beautiful sultana whose storytelling prowess stays her execution at the hand of her bloodthirsty husband. Night after night she weaves the most fascinating tales for the sultan. After one thousand and one nights, he grants her life, and makes her queen. |
