Let’s Put on A Show!

Start your summer with a blast of theater fun! Venture into the world of movement, voice, costumes, and music in this two week theater training session.

You’ll explore performance technique and develop a show for the last day of class.

In partnership with The Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County, Let’s Put On A Show! will present the light and lively usical The Day I Walked on Four Legs. This play focuses on caring for our pets, our community and planet through music and wonderful dialogue, with a few meows and woofs in between!

Immersion: West African Dance: A Day in Senegal

Saturday, June 21, 2008 • 10 am to 4 pm
Ages 6 – 16 • Cost $60 • Lunch Included

This single day intensive class focuses on cultural exploration and applied practice in West African Dance. The day will end with a ollaborative sharing.

Students will have a chance to ask questions about contemporary Africa, view video excerpts from Africa as well as examine artifacts from Senegal. You’ll learn choreography inspired by classic Senegalese movement.
