From One of Seinfeld's Top Writers
Broadway Center presents
The Wonder Bread Years
O, Solo Mio! Series Sponsored by Davies Pearson, P.C.
Tacoma, WA – Pat Hazell, one of the original writers of the television hit Seinfeld, stars in The Wonder Bread Years, a one-man comedy that celebrate the baby boomer generation and their collective youth in three performances at Theatre on the Square, Friday, November 2, 2007 at 7:30pm and Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 3:00pm and 7:30pm. Tickets for The Wonder Bread Years are available through the Broadway Center Box Office at 253.591.5894 or online at www.broadwaycenter.org.
Called “Milk-snorting funny!,” by Jerry Seinfeld, the show evolved from Pat Hazell’s realization that people have many more things in common than they have differences. The strong sense of American pop culture exhibited by Hazell earned his show an invitation to represent the United States at the Vancouver International Comedy Festival.
Labeled by the Showtime network as one of the five funniest people in America, Hazell brings to the stage a fresh and funny slice of Americana. From Jiffy Pop popcorn and Kool-Aid stands to TV theme songs and favorite toys, The Wonder Bread Years will stir a hilarious sense of nostalgia.
Hazell made his first appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1989, and has since made six more appearances with Jay Leno. Hazell served as Jerry Seinfeld’s opening act and became one of the original top four writers for the NBC series Seinfeld. As a playwright, his first endeavor, Bunk Bed Brothers, which he co-wrote with Matt Goldman, was critically acclaimed and eventually filmed as the sit-com, American Pie for NBC Studios. The Wonder Bread Years has also been taped as a one-hour PBS special.
On sale now, tickets are $34 and may be purchased at the Broadway Center Box Office located on 9th & Broadway or by calling the Box Office at 253.591.5894. To purchase online at any time or for information about upcoming events visit www.broadwaycenter.org.
