Throughout the season, the Broadway Center presents several festive occasions with special opportunities beyond just the ticketed event—from local shopping experiences to raucous auctions to sponsorship opportunities—all which provide critical funding to support the Broadway Center’s diverse programming and arts education.

A feast for the senses, Star Chefs on Broadway raises funds for our arts education programs by bringing together bites and beverages from amazing Puget Sound chefs, theatrical entertainment, a raffle, games of chance, silent auctions, and a grand live auction!

Star Chefs on Broadway: The Lalapazaza Speakeasy

Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. in the Pantages Lobby and Theater

Discover the password to get into this speakeasy – where the giggle water flows freely, dames will be dolled up, gents will be hotsy-totsy, and arts education is the bee’s knees. At Star Chefs on Broadway: The Lalapazaza Speakeasy, you’ll enjoy decadent dishes, drinks so tasty they should be prohibited, and auctions featuring local and one-of-a-kind items. Program Schedule:

  • 5:00 p.m. - Doors open: Silent Auction, Raffle, Interactive Experiences, Lobby Chefs serving appetizers, specialty bars, and signature drinks by Doyle's Public House
  • 6:30 p.m. - Program for the evening, including plated dinner by Asado and Live Auction and Raise-the-Paddle
  • 9:00 p.m. - Dancing and Last Bite
  • 9:30 p.m. - Event concludes


Individual Tickets: $200

VIP Tickets: $600 - includes tickets for two guests, one night stay at the Murano Hotel, valet parking, limo transportation to and from Star Chefs, and breakfast at Bite.

Tacoma Wined Up offers tastes of wine, ciders, and spirits from across Washington state, alongside restaurant and artisanal vendors booths, includes a silent auction to support our arts education programs, and a bottle shop where you can purchase bottles to take home!

Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Tacoma Armory; 21+ event

Spend an evening sampling Northwest wines, ciders, and more! Over 25 wineries and cideries from across Washington state will be offering tastings of their products. Along with the tastings, you will be able to shop the booths of artisanal art, jewelry and food vendors, relax with a nosh from the local restaurants in attendance, and bid on great items in a silent auction benefitting Broadway Center’s Arts Education programs. Program Schedule:

  • 4:00 p.m. – Doors open for VIPS - full access to booths, vendors, bottle shop, and auction, plus reserve tastings until 5:00 p.m.
  • 5:00 p.m. – Admittance for regular ticket holders – access to booths, vendors, bottle shop and auction
  • 8:00 p.m. – Silent auction closes
  • 9:00 p.m. – Event concludes


VIP Tickets: $60 – includes early admission (4:00pm), 15 tasting tokens, reserve tastings for first hour, a commemorative tasting glass, and 15% of any vendor purchases*
Regular Tickets: $40 – includes 10 tasting tokens and a commemorative tasting glass
Designated Driver*: $12

*VIP Discounts do not apply at Bottle Shop
*Designate Driver tickets allow for access only and are ineligible to participate in wine tastings.
